How To Conceive | Get Pregnant | Have A Baby

Made of snips and snails and puppy dogs tails, little baby boys are a delight full of fun and adventure. It’s no wonder that many couples want to have a boy first in the family. Whether that is your situation, or you currently have a room full of girls and want to even things up a bit, this article will show you how to conceive a boy.
So is it really possible to put the odds of having a certain gender in your favor when trying to fall pregnant?
Fortunately yes. We know a lot more about the workings of how conception works now, and more importantly what it takes to make a boy. It all comes down to factors such as what you eat, when you have sexual intercourse and what positions you use.
These factors can influence whether the egg gets fertilized by the male or female sperm since it’s the sperm that will determine the sex of your child.
Ok, so how do we use this to our advantage when getting pregnant?
Well since we want the male sperm to fertilize the egg we need to know a bit how it works. Science tells us that this sperm is faster than the female sperm and therefore likely to reach the egg first under normal circumstances therefore you need to make sure that you have sex around 24 hours before you ovulate to no more than 12 hours post ovulation.
Of course all this assumes that you know exactly when you ovulate. There are many ways that you can find out when you ovulate from taking your basal body temperature (BBT) and charting, to using ovulation predictor kits (OPKs). Women who ovulate on roughly the same day each cycle have a much better chance of pinpointing ovulation, but using OPK’s can help too.
The sex position that you use also can help you get that boy baby. You aim is to get the sperm as close to the cervix as possible so they can get a head start in reaching the egg first. This is done with any position that allows deep penetration such as rear entry (often called doggie style). You can read more about the best position to get pregnant with a boy baby in my previous post.
Attempting to conceive a specific gender gets a lot of controversial press in the media today – is it ethical? Shouldn’t you leave it up to the hands of fate? But for couples longing for a child of a certain sex trying natural methods to fall pregnant shouldn’t be such a dilemma. There is nothing wrong with wanting to know how to conceive a boy baby whether it’s for your first child or seventh and after all it’s going to be lots of fun trying.
